Hello Friends! Tia here with RockyMtnCraftia.com. If you’ve been following the Prickley Pear Blog or are one of my followers, you know that I love to read! I almost got my Master’s in Library Sciences!!! And I owe my love of reading and books to none other than my MOM!
Spring has sprung and Mother’s Day will be upon us very soon! So I’m taking time to get ahead and get my cards done now! I love this sweet stamp “Momma Kangaroo” with her little Joey and reading together! I have photos of my mom reading to me and me reading to my son!
I started with an A2 sized card base and piece of card front. I used a stitched die to cut down the size and then used a hexagon die to cut out an opening. I selected a pallet of pink & green papers. I used a heart embossing folder on the green paper.
Again I used the hexagon to cut all of my papers. I traced the cut-out on the card base so I could stamp the Thank You in the window.
I used my computer to create my own personalized message banners. I used the stitched die to keep the card cohesive in appearance.
I stamped Momma Kangaroo on a piece of Hammermill Color Copy paper and inked with my COPICS.
COPICS USED:
E13, E15, E18
W3, W5
RV13 & Copic Multi-liner Black
I glued down the hexagon design paper and trimmed off the edges. I ran it through the stitched die again. Then I popped Momma Kangaroo up on foam tape.
I completed the inside of the card with the sentiments from the set-which are so perfect for Mom!
Make sure to join my fellow teammate Kim Kreates and I as we make a guest appearance on YouTube Sunday April 23rd at 3pm MST with host Crafty Fun with Friends of LV Handcrafted. We will be showcasing stamps from our generous sponsor Prickley Pear Stamps and sketches from sponsor Kendra’s Card Challenge. We are sure to have a great time so join us!
Until next time my friends-Go Get Crafty!
