Hello crafty friends and good morning. Welcome back to the blog! Today it’s Rick here with you to share a cute little card using the Lovely Bouquet Stamp Set.
To create this card you are going to stamp the large floral bouquet in the bottom left or right corner. I usually will go with the left side of the card. Stamp it in a no line color friendly ink. I like to use a like toffee color ink for this. Once you have the image stamped out it’s time to color. Since I was going to use water based ink markers I knew I needed a watercolor friendly paper to stamp on so be aware of that.
Once you have the beautiful floral bouquet stamped colored and ready to go. It’s time to draw more interest to the Lovely Bouquet image. One way to do this is to draw focus to the main image. One easy way to do this is to take a basic shape and cut a mask. The mask could be as simple as a piece of copy paper the same size as your card. Any of the Nesting Dies on the website are good options for shapes.
Once you have the shape that you want add a little ink blending with a complimentary color to the inside of the masked area. Make sure not to go over the stamped and colored image. Here I went with a blue that complimented the blue green of the leaves as well as the red violet of the roses. I also added just a little red violet ink around the outside of the card and the masked area. Then while the mask is still in place stamp the large floral bouquet in the same blue ink in the masked area as well as a few of the single leaves and roses. Remove the mask and add a little red violet ink in the corners.
To finish off the card all you have to do is add one of the sentiment from the stamp set to the card and add the card panel to your card base. I hope that you find this post helpful. I will see you again soon.
