Eclipse Cupcake Birthday Card

Hello and welcome back to the blog; it’s Rick back with you again today to share another fun project. Today, I am going to be sharing two Eclipse Cupcake Birthday Cards with you using the Build a Cupcake Stamp Set that’s part of our Prickley Pear Stamp Line.

Eclipse Cupcake Birthday Card:

The Eclipse card is actually a super easy card to create. All you really need is a die set to create the two different levels. One level will be attached all the way to the card base while the other level is popped up. I used a deckled rectangle die to create my eclipse card design today.

I stamped the cupcakes out for both cards with an alcohol marker friendly ink onto alcohol marker friendly cardstock. Once I had the images stamped out I colored them with my Ohuhu Honolulu Brush Markers.

I colored both sets of cut cakes for each card just slightly a little different, but kept them both in a nice spring color combo. After I had all the cupcakes colored in my chosen spring time color pallets I started working on the background panels. I used a cloud and grass stencil along with some distress oxide ink to create the backgrounds.

Once you have your background panel completed you are going to take your die of choice and cut out the center. Make sure to pick a die that will leave you enough room that you can have a nice size frame. Once you have that done all you have to do is glue the frame to your card base (flat) and then pop up the center panel with foam adhesive.

To finish off the card all I did was add a little Stardust Stickles to the areas of each cup cake that I wanted to have a little sparkle. You could skip this step and add any of the Pajama Crafter Stamps Rhinestone mixes to the card for that touch of sparkle and shine.
