This bright mixed media beauty has lots of layers and full of little details.
I started out this card using the Forever 29 January new release set from Pajama Crafter Stamps. First, I stamped the 3 layered cake on white cardstock and then selectively cut the bottom layer off the cake. The cake was colored with alcohol markers. The next step was to randomly stamp the cake onto white cardstock in grey, then embossing the confetti in bright pink randomly as well. I took the Forever 29 sentiment and stamped it on some tickets in my stash added some pink embossing powder to the edges. A little ink blending across all the pieces of cardstock to give a little dimension.
For a little more interest I added several torn pieces of washi tape from my stash. Anyone else have a large stash of washi tape they just need to use? NO? Just me? LOL. I took a distressed tag from my stash and stamped the little gift image all over it before layering the cake with foam. I added a bit of bright twine onto the tag with gold heart and flower accents also from my stash from so long ago. Last step was to heat emboss the sentiment in black on pink cardstock. A bit of a Wink of Stella glitter pen added all the shiny accents.
Sometimes it is fun to just play and layer things up. This card makes me think of the older women who aren’t afraid to wear bright colors and eat cake. As I age I want to be that woman – wearing bright fun clothing and eating cake because it’s yummy. I hope you enjoy the bright fun card.
