Hi crafty friends! I hope your weekend is off to a great start! Does your family hang stockings? When I was growing up, stockings were a BIG deal in my family. My dad traveled a lot for work conferences, and he would fill our stockings with all the silly doo-dads that he brought back, generally office supplies and such, and my brother and I loved it! As an adult, my grandmother carried on the tradition. She did a stocking for each of the kids and grandkids and filled them with all of the things that we love!
When I saw the Stocking 2 Clear Stamp Set, I knew that I needed to create with it. The stockings themselves are just beautiful, and they were so much fun to color up. As a matter of fact, I couldn’t stop at just one card, so I am sharing this beautiful pair of cards today.
I colored the stockings with Copic markers and I embellished them with a gold get pen and a white Postca Paint pen. Once they were dry, I cut them out and set them aside. I heat embossed the sentiments and trimmed the panels down before backing them with glitter cardstock. I dry embossed white cardstock panels, and backed them with the same glitter cardstock and adhered them to my card bases. I added the sentiment panels, stockings, and added some loopy bows. To complete the cards, I added some bling.
These cards bring up so many happy memories. I would love to hear what your favorite holiday tradition is! Please be sure to leave us a comment and share! Don’t forget to stop by the shop and check out the Stocking 1 and Stocking 2 Clear Stamp Sets!
Thanks so much for spending a few minutes of your day with me!
Xoxo, Kim
