It’s time to party! Today’s card features Forever 29 Stamp set. There is a also a bundle that includes the dies: FOREVER 29 STAMP/DIE BUNDLE
I started this bright beauty with a piece of mixed media cardstock cut to A2 size. (4.25″x5.5″) I started by stamping and embossing the cake from the set in black. I also stamped the confetti image and the Forever 29 sentiment randomly around the cake. Then began layering on sprays in pinks and reds except for the top by the candle in which I added oranges and yellows. Added a little water to spread the colors and then dried the panel. Then I began selectively adding a few more spritzes of color and some water droplets to provide additional texture to the background. At the top by the candle, I added mica sprays to add that shimmer and shine of candlelight.
To finish off this card, I found some wrinkled ribbon from my stash and added some metallic threads to it and tied a quick bow around the bottom third of the card. I stamped Happy Birthday onto a square piece of cardstock and ink blended coordinating colors onto it before adding foam adhesive and layering it over the ribbon.
This bright cheerful card is now ready to celebrate someone’s “29th” birthday.
