Sketched Florals – Wildflowers

Hello everyone!  Hope you are all well and looking forward to spring!

I am really looking forward to warmer weather and for today’s project

I’m using Sketched Florals – Wildflowers. I really was in the mood to

make a shaker card.  I hadn’t made one for a while and this stamp set

is perfect!  Let me show you how I made it!

I first stamped and heat embossed my image with gold embossing powder.

I used my sparkle watercolor paper cut down to an A2 size piece as I wanted

to color the image with Distress Watercolor Pencils.

I wanted to keep the flowers colorful.

Sometimes I used the same color to both base coat in and shade with.

Other times I added other colors.

I used Tumbled Glass for the sky – very sparingly!

Distress Watercolor Pencils used: Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss,

Rustic Wilderness, Wild Honey, Candied Apple, Fired Brick, Shaded Lilac,

Blueprint Sketch, Gathered Twigs, Wilted Violet, Spun Sugar, Evergreen

Bough, Tumbled Glass, Seedless Preserves, Picked Raspberry.

I used glitter markers on the butterfly.  I think some glitter watercolors

would have looked fabulous as well

I die cut a postage frame out of some gold card stock and cut the

flower panel down a bit.  I chose the green card stock to serve as

the base color.  I knew you wouldn’t be able to see much of it

as the postage stamp die is A2 size, but you can see peeks of it.

I adhered a piece of acetate to the frame and then used fairly

thick foam tape around the edges.  I added my shaker fill

and adhered the colored panel to the back.  I adhered this

shaker panel to front of my A2 size card base that was covered

with the green card stock.  I added a sentiment from my

stash and my card was done!

I hope I’ve inspired you to make a colorful shaker using items

from your own stash!  You can find this stamp as a single purchase

or a bundled stamp and die!

Til next time…
