Hello lovelies!!
This is my first post for Pajama Crafter Stamps and I just have to say how excited and honored I am to be here with you all!
I LOVE making cards! And its a joy to share what I create with others – so thank you all for being here with me – together. I know you all inspire me each and every day and I only hope that I can inspire you too.
OK! So now its time to share my creations with you:
I made TWO cards for today – Both feature the Pajama Crafter Stamps set Birds of a Feather:
For this first card I stamped and colored this sweet little bird to coordinate with my selected patterned paper. I then “nested” him in a bunch of die-cut leaves and branches using the Pajama Crafter Stamps Paper in the color Pebbled Beach (this is the PERFFECT Kraft color, by the way!). I also added a bit of thread for some extra added texture and a bit of whimsy…I think this card turned out to be quite pretty. This little bird is definitely at the center of attention…and deserves it!

For this next card, I had a little fun with color! I love coloring my stamped images MOST of the time…but every now and then I find a way to get “creative” and I try something different. This card is one of those times. Instead of coloring the birds traditionally, I decided to try ink blending. I used coordinating colors with the patterned paper I had picked out. I then took a small blending brush and gently went over each bird with a circular motion. I intentionally blended out the color beyond the lines of the birds. I also did each bird in a different color, to create a kind of rainbow effect. And I am OBSESSED with how this turned out! I will DEFINITELY be using this technique again for a quick and easy, yet beautiful & effective, coloring technique in the future. Please let me know if you try this and share your card in our Pajama Crafters Stamp & Friends group on Facebook (and please tag me (@shilomiles) so I can be sure to see your creations)

I hope you enjoyed my cards today – thank you all for stopping by!
I’ll be back next week with some more fun creations!
Happy day all
~Shilo XOX
