Good morning lovelies!
This is Shilo bringing you some warm wishes on this lovely August day! I have just learned that Pajama Crafter Stamps does “CHRISTMAS IN AUGUST” – Yay! We can keep on with the Christmas and winter cards and hopefully be well prepared for the season when it arrives.
I personally LOVE making holiday cards – give me Christmas (and Valentine’s) cards all the time and I am here for it! So I’m excited to share my cards with you this month!
Today’s card was made using the ADORABLE Sliding By Stamp and Die set. I knew I wanted to go with a “wintery” theme with this cutie (he is dressed for it!) – so I chose the icy blues and purples for my color scheme. I colored this little guy using my copic markers to coordinate with the pattern paper I chose. This card started with the tag – I took a neutral colored pattern paper and did some ink blending to create that snowy/icy look for my background. I also stitched with silver thread to create a little ice patch for my penguin to skate on. I finished this mini scene by adding those trees – complete with “snow”. I completed the tag with a piece of seam binding. Once the tag was done, I layered my card with texture and pattern – and of course, dimensional foam tape (classic Shilo – lots of layers and dimension)
