Hello crafty friends!
It’s Shilo here – back with some more holiday cards! WOOT!
Exciting news! Pajama Crafter Stamps just did a new release on Friday! That means I have some brand new stamps to share with you – how exciting! If you missed the new release, you can check it out here: https://pajamacrafterstamps.com/
I made TWO cards to share with you all today – I couldn’t help it – this owl is soooo cute! Both my cards were made using the Rustic Christmas Owl stamp set.
For this first card I wanted to use the color brown. It was in my head to make a pretty Christmas card but with more earthy tones – and I’m loving how it came out! I stamped and masked my owl off (check out the Masking Wonder Sheets from Pajama Crafters Stamps). Then I did some ink blending – concentrating the darkest part behind the owl. I then, colored this guy up using my Copic markers to coordinate with my patterned papers and of course I added some glitter and gloss to him (its a Christmas card!). Then I stamped some of those lovely boughs in the corner and hit the whole thing with some “snow” (white paint splatter) creating a sweet little winter scene. I added some layers to the corner with some of my personal dies. And then finished the card off by adding some iridescent sequins.

This next card was inspired by this super pretty floral tag I had in my stash. I knew I wanted to layer the owl with it and add lace and texture to create something shabby chic. I LOVE how this turned out….I think it’s beautiful. And I think it showcases how this owl can be used in another way – fussy-cut and layered.

I added a sentiment to the inside of my card (rare for me as I usually leave the inside blank). And I stamped one of the boughs from the Rustic Christmas Owl set in the corner in a soft pink color to coordinate with the front of the card.

Well, that’s it for these two cards…I hope you check out the new holiday release and enjoy some Christmas card making!
