I made two cards with the new Pajama Crafter Stamps You Are stamp set. This set is all about reminding those we love (and ourselves) who “you are”.
What I love about stamp sets like this (all sentiments or sentiment heavy) is it gives an opportunity to create a sentiment focal point WHILE using other goodies from the stash.
For my first card I did just that…
To be fair though, how this card started and how it ended are completely different (and I bet I’m not the only one that happens to). The one part that didn’t change was how I chose to use this circular sentiment. I LOVE that this sentiment claims descriptors over us that are BIBLICAL and it gives the verse references. I am a big believer in speaking scripture over our lives and the lives of others (even though I need to do it more)! To draw more attention to all the different components of this sentiment, I wanted to see if I could layer it – and just so you know…it works with standard circle dies!! YAY! I then pulled out all the flower die cuts and fussy cut flowers that I had in my flower bin – (of course only in coordinating colors) and I layered them all up – I even added some random buttons to add texture and dimension.
For this next card, I took the “You are Amazing – Remember That” sentiment and paired it with this row of birds from the Pajama Crafter Stamps Birds of a Feather set. It’s like they were meant to be together. I wanted a softer look for my birds so instead of coloring them like I usually do I used my tiny blending brushes and distress inks. They are messy and a bit fuzzy but I love how they turned out (no stencil sets needed). I intentionally colored the one bird differently and added stickles to his belly for some sparkle. I think this reiterates the sentiment.
