I wanted to explore an earthy color palette with this gorgeous image from the new Pajama Crafter Stamps Citrus & Scarlet Blooms Stamp Set. I think it was those bits of orange and cinnamon that inspired this thought. And the colors definitely showcase this stamp differently than the traditional reds and greens. I LOVE how this turned out.

Once the images were colored I layered them adding dimension and interest by pairing them with some pinecone and evergreen branch dies from my stash. A bit of sparkle and gloss and this floral came to life! I used this beautiful paper from the Taupe Tidings Paper Pack as a backdrop/grounding point on my card.
This month at Pajama Crafter Stamps the design team has been challenged to use FUN-FOLD cards – ALL month long!
I’m new to fun-folds…. Like this is my FIRST one!!! So I started off pretty basic. This was super easy as I usually do a top folding A2 card. This is basically a mini top folding card attached to a post card. The base is a 4.25 x 5.5 inch piece of plain cardstock (a post card basically). Then cut a 8.5″ X 2.5″ piece of cardstock. Score at 4.25″. This mini card is attached to your postcard…anywhere you like…centered, off to either side…whatever will work best for your card front design.
I enjoyed the challenge of tucking in my florals so they looked beautiful when the card was closed and also open. I also wanted to keep the “inside” part of the card flat so it was easy to write my message to the recipient.
