Hey there! Judy here sharing a twisted easel card featuring one of my favorite stamps from Pajama Crafter Stamps, Heaven and Nature.

This card comes together with a mix of die cut layers and rich holiday reds. A classic twisted-easel is perfect for displaying throughout the season.

Creating a Twisted Easel Base

Have you ever made a twisted easel card? It is fairly easy.

Cut a piece of 5 1/2 x 11 inch piece of card stock. Score at 5 1/2 inches along the 11 inch side, fold and burnish. With the fold on the left, score diagonally from the top right corner to the score line on the bottom left. Fold and burnish. This diagonal piece forms the easel to display your focal.

Once the base is complete all you have to do is decorate the card front and inside as you desire. Be sure to add a “stop” to the inside to hold the easel in place for displaying.

Card Details

I colored the stamped image with Prismacolor pencils. Papers from the Winter Parade Paper Pack are perfect for the card front. To frame the image, I die cut ornate borders in red foil card stock. This adds a gorgeous shine and gives the whole card a festive, decorative feel.

For a cohesive look I add striped paper and more foiled die cuts to the base.

I use foam tape to adhere the “stop” to the card base. It consists of the sentiment, which is stamped and heat embossed. Die cuts are layered beneath the sentiment.

Finishing Touches

Sparkly accents and the detailed edging bring everything together.

Twisted easels are such a great way to showcase a detailed focal image. They always make the recipient say “wow!”
