Happy Holidays!
Is it too soon for that? I have been busy making Christmas cards for months now (they are one of my faves to make), so it actually feels like a long time coming to wish you all Happy Holidays..hehe. I’m pretty sure most of us are in the thick of the planning and preparing and decorating and baking?! So grab a cup of your fave and take five! I wanna share some pretty Christmas cards with you.
The whole base and focus of this card started with the Christmas Wishes Flashcards. In case you don’t know much about the Flashcards – they are A2 card panels that are multi – media versatile and allow for quick and easy cardmaking.
Annnndddd then I had to go ahead and add all the stuff because I’m like that – lol.
This flashcard could easily have been left as a clean and simple one layer card…its beautiful with just some ink blending. Truly. But I couldn’t help myself…I HAD to add some of these beautiful florals from the Citrus & Scarlet Blooms Stamp Set.
This next card features the Citrus & Scarlet Blooms Stamp Set as well. The blue flowers with the Kraft colors…seriously, this is one of my favorite card creations this season.
The Kraft A2 Card Bases w/Envelopes is the foundation for this card. I also used Pebbled Beach Cardstock and distressed it with ink.
And just so you know that background behind the arch is another Christmas Wishes Flashcard!! Isn’t it pretty? I simple took a couple brown inks and blended overtop.
The floral stamps are all colored with copics and then covered in glitter (Its Christmas! I can get away with it). I layered the flowers with foliage dies from my stash and some silver thread. These oversized sapphire gems have been in my stash FOREVER and they were the perfect finishing touch for this card – I love it when that happens!
