What’s even more special is that today coincides with an important occasion: it’s Celebrate Shelter Pets Day in the U.S.! 🐶❤️🐱🇺🇸
This unofficial holiday shines a spotlight on our furry, and sometimes even scaly, friends waiting for loving homes in shelters. With the holiday season upon us, many shelters are hosting their “Home for the Holidays” adoption events, offering reduced or waived fees to help find forever homes for their adorable pets. It’s a perfect time to adopt, foster, or simply donate!
Here’s how I incorporated the spirit of our furry and scaly friends into my card design:
🖌️ Card Features:
- Stamp your images: The cute images of pets brought my card to life! I stamped them off the edges of an A2 sized panel (5.5 in x 4.25 in) and colored them with vibrant hues, giving them personality and charm. I like to customize the pet for the owner (card recipient).
- Sentiments Galore: I included a heartwarming messages to celebrate the addition of a pet to someone’s family. I used a combination of words to create the perfect greeting using Mix and Match Celebration Sentiments Stamp Set.
- Background: To make it clean and simple, I used a wonky stitched rectangle that would give a 1/4 inch margin and popped the panel up with dimensional tape / pop-dots onto an A2 panel of multi-colored glitter cardstock and adhered to an A2 white card base.
- Some people think images are simply printed out; so I was asked to show how an image comes together.
