If you’ve got a baseball-loving mom in your life, this card is a total home run! Today’s project combines bold colors, playful elements, and a sporty theme to celebrate Mom in a fun and unique way by utilizing multiple techniques. I used alcohol marker coloring, stenciling, mixing of multiple stamp sets, and utilized supplies from my crafty stash for a unified theme that is sure to leave Mom feeling special.
I started my process with a piece of cardstock cut to 8.5″ x 7″ and then scored at 3.5″ on the 7″ side. This creates a card base that fits into a standard #10 business envelope. I ink-blended the Legends Are Born Stencil in the middle of the card. I then added patterned paper from the Let’s Play Ball paper pack to frame the card and create a focal point for the primary dies and images. I used the same paper pack and Adult Sippy Cup dies, plus a circle die from my stash to create the focal die cuts.
I used the adorable character from the Chuggin On stamp set, colored with alcohol markers for a bright, cheerful look. She’s ready for game day with her drink in hand, standing in front of oversized baseball-themed elements that add fun dimension and interest. Could the dies from Adult Sippy Cup die set cut from the Let’s Play Ball paper pack be any cuter? The sentiment, “Love you to the outfield and back,” from Champions in the Making stamp set is tucked into a banner at the top, tying the whole theme together perfectly. The Banner Die Set is truly one of those essential die sets that I reach for often. A few confetti from my stash add just the right touch of sparkle without overpowering the design. To finish it off, I added the “#1” detail at the bottom—because Mom is always the MVP!
