This month, the Pajama Crafter Stamps design team is bringing handmade cards to life through scene building – combining layered elements, backgrounds, textures and creative techniques to tell a story with every project.
For this week’s inspiration, I turned to Craft Roulette for a challenge and created an adorable wedding-themed scene card inspired by the challenge paramters.

What Is a 4 Bar Card?
If you’re wondering “What exactly is a 4 bar card?” – you’re note alone! A 4 bar card (also called an A1 card) is a smaller greeting card size often used ofr thank-you cards, RSVP cards, gift enclosures, and elegant handmade notes.
A standard 4 bar card measures approximately 3.5 x 5 inches when folded. For this project, I started with a 5 x 7 inch cardstock base and folded it in half to create the perfect petite card size.
Building the Wedding Scene
For my color palette, I drew inspiration from my sister’s wedding colors and incorporated soft blue-green tones to create a romantic wedding atmosphere.
To establish the background and add a whimsical touch, I ink blended the beautiful In My Heart of Hearts Stencil I colored the images from Bound By Love Stamps with alcohol markers to bring warmth and personality to the scene.
This sweet wedding cake perfectly fulfilled the “sweet” challenge parameter, while the groom’s gray tuxedo add the required “touch of gray”.
Finishing Touches for Dimension & Sparkle
To complete the card, I layered in several finishing details for added texture and dimension. these little details helped elevate the scene and make the card feel extra special and celebratory.
