There’s something special about sending a handmade card that lets someone know just how much they are appreciated. Today I’m sharing a 5″ x 6½” card featuring the beautiful Together Stamps, Spring Plaid Paper Pack, and Ballet Slipper Confetti Embellishments from Pajama Crafter Stamps.
With gorgeous peony blooms and the heartfelt sentiment “You Are Wonderful,” this card is perfect for encouraging a friend, celebrating a loved one, or simply brightening someone’s day.
Supplies Used
- Pajama Crafter Stamps Together Stamps
- Pajama Crafter Stamps Spring Plaid Paper Pack,
- Pajama Crafter Stamps Ballet Slipper Confetti Embellishments
- White cardstock
- Coordinating colored cardstock
- Alcohol markers or colored pencils
- Die-cutting machine and nesting dies (optional)
- Foam adhesive
- Adhesive runner or liquid glue
Stamp and Color the Image
Stamp the image from the Together Stamps set twice onto white cardstock using a black ink suitable for your coloring medium.
Color the images with your favorite markers or colored pencils.
Once colored, fussy cut one of the images.
Prepare the Card Base
Start with a piece of white cardstock cut and scored to create a 5 x 6 1/2 inch card base. This larger card size provides plenty of room for the patterned paper and showcasing the stamped image.
Cut 2 layering panels out of colored card stock. One measures 5 x 6 1/2 inches. The other is 4 3/4 x 6 1/4 inches.
Add Background Layer
Choose a paper from the Spring Plaid Paper Pack to coordinate with the floral images. Cut it to 4 5/8 x 2 1/2 inches and adhere to the bottom of the smaller layering panel.
Trim down the white panel with the 2nd stamped and colored image to 4 5/8 x 3 3/4 inches. Adhere to the top of the smaller layering panel.
Adding Finishing Touches
Cut 2 strips from the colored card stock. Layer and adhere slightly below the center to cover where the white and plaid panels meet.
Adhere the fussy cut image to the bottom right of the card.
Stamp the sentiments onto white card stock. Closely trim the small “YOU ARE” and fussy cut “Wonderful”. Adhere.
Add a few of the Ballet Slipper Confetti Embellishments to complete.
I love how this card combines beautiful peony blooms, soft spring patterns, and an uplifting sentiment to create a card that’s both elegant and heartfelt. Handmade cards are a wonderful way to remind someone how much they mean to us, and the sentiment “You Are Wonderful” says it all.
