Hello, crafty friends!
Beach Week is here at Pajama Crafter Stamps, and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to do something I absolutely love—mix and match products in ways they weren’t originally intended!
One of the things I enjoy most about crafting is giving myself permission to simply play. Creative art play is one of the best forms of stress therapy, and sometimes the most unexpected combinations lead to the biggest smiles. Not every card has to make perfect sense. Sometimes it just has to make you happy!
A Silly Summer Snapshot
For today’s card, I created a scene that looks like a fun little snapshot pulled right from a scrapbook page. It may be a little quirky, but that’s part of the charm! I combined images from four different Pajama Crafter Stamps sets:
- Chicken & Waffles
- Beach Huts
- Dog Days of Summer
- Where My Ghouls At
Who says chickens, fried drumsticks, beach huts, and doggie pool toys and pumpkin faces can’t all hang out together on one card??!! That’s the beauty of creativity—there are no rules!
Adding Texture and Interest
To enhance the scrapbook-inspired look, I used the beautiful Breakfast at T’s Embellishment Mix along with the Self-Adhesive Photo Corners. These little details add texture, movement, and visual interest while helping to frame the card like a treasured summer memory.
Stretch Your Stash
If you’ve ever looked at a stamp set and thought, “That’s not what it’s intended for,” I encourage you to challenge yourself to think beyond the package inspiration. Mix themes. Combine characters. Create scenes that make you laugh. Some of my favorite projects have come from asking, “What would happen if I put these together?”
The end result might surprise you!
And hopefully, like this silly little summer card, it will bring a smile to someone’s face.
