Turn Scraps into Something New!
One Release. Three Creative Ideas.
For my Instagram Hop projects, I paired the Breaking News Background Stamp with the Breaking News and Sharkuterie Board stamp sets to create two completely different cards. By simply changing the layout and combining the images in new ways, the same products took on completely different personalities.
It was a great reminder that one stamp set can inspire multiple designs—and that’s exactly what makes this release so much fun!
My 2 Hop Cards
Every Inch Inspires Creativity
One of my favorite discoveries happened after I finished my hop cards.
The Breaking News Background Stamp is a 6” × 6” background, so when I trimmed it down to fit an A2 card, it left behind a narrow strip of the design.
From Scrap to Treasure
Instead of tossing it into my trash bin, I noticed the section of the world map and immediately thought…
“That would make the cutest pirate treasure map!”
Using my Copic markers, I transformed the leftover map into an aged treasure map, then paired it with the Pirate Pals and Adventure Awaits stamp sets to create an entirely new scene.
To add a fun interactive element, I replaced the traditional “X marks the spot” with a heart mounted on a SpinCycle Micro Rotator. Now the heart spins over the treasure location, adding movement and an extra surprise for the recipient.
It’s a perfect reminder that sometimes the best ideas come from the pieces you almost throw away!

Look Beyond the Package
One of my favorite discoveries came from the Dang, Whoa, Yikes! Word & Shadow Dies.
By cutting multiple sets and rearranging the individual letters, I created an entirely new greeting:
AHOY!
It reminded me that word dies don’t have to stop with the words shown on the package. Mix, match, and experiment—you might discover greetings you never expected!
