Hello and welcome to the Pajama Crafter Stamps blog; it’s Rick back with you again today sharing a springtime card that is sure to please the most pickiest of viewers. This card using the brand new In Full Bloom Bundle from Pajama Crafter Stamps and is a little different of a design than you may have seen here in the past.
Bloom With Grace Card with the In Full Bloom Bundle
My card today features the In Full Bloom Bundle which contains the In Full Bloom Stamp Set and the In Full Bloom Die Set. When you purchase the bundle from Pajama Crafter Stamps you save 15%. And you know me I am all about saving a few pennies when I can. To create the my card I also used the a rotating stamp platform and a Embossing Folder from my stash. I colored my floral filled wheelbarrow with my favorite alcohol brush markers.
To start my card I used the small floral image from the In Bloom Stamp Set and placed it in the rotating stamp platform and stamped it using Peach Ink. I then did the same thing with the butterfly and the sentiment. I stamped the butterfly with Lavender Ink and the sentiment using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink. With the rotating stamp platform all you have to do is place the image in the correct size circle and stamp and turn the cardstock. You keep turning until you fill up your panel.
All I had to do at this point was take a large circle die, or a small plate and place over my stamped panel and trace around it. I then took my paper snips and cut inside the traced line to get the circle shape on the front of my card. I attached a piece of Peach Cardstock that I had embossed with my Embossing Folder. I attached the card front to my A2 size card base made from Neenah Desert Storm 100 lbs Cardstock.
Next I stamped out the wheelbarrow, watering can, and the butterfly from the In Bloom Stamp Set. I also stamped the butterfly three times because I knew I wanted to use them around the card as a simple embellishment. I stamped everything on the same 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 80 lbs Cardstock. I stamped everything in alcohol marker friendly ink. My normal go to alcohol marker friendly ink is Memento Tuxedo Black, it has never failed me when wanting to color with my alcohol markers.
For my color palette I picked a pale peach, light coral, a slightly darker peach, a yellow, and a green. I wanted it to feel very spring. I actually found the color palette on Pinterest. I have a whole board that I save anything I find inspirational to. I save all kinds of things to this board it could be card designs, different color palettes, hair color, art work, or something in fashion that I found that I liked. my rule is if I like it and feel inspired by it in some way I save it to that board. I have also saved lots of inspiration from the Pajama Crafter Stamps blog from fellow design team members. You can find inspiration for a card design anywhere and I highly recommend creating a Pinterest board just for this inspiration. You can do like I have and set it to private (or I think they call it secret) that way you can go to it when you’re not feeling creative and thumb through your pins and get inspired.
I hope that you found a little inspiration with my card and my post today. I look forward to talking to you again soon. Have a fabulous day!
