Celebrating Earth Day – Challenge

Hi All,

Today is earth day, and I am ever concerned with the carbon foot print that I leave behind. So much so, that I now have 5 chickens that provide us with fresh eggs. I have a beautiful aquaponics garden that my husband built with Tilapia fish that are growing good an healthy and veggies that provide us wonderful meals every day. My trips to the grocery store are less. We have solar on our house, which living in Arizona makes me feel less guilty of running the AC continuously from May to early October.

I design the stamps and then I make cards to showcase those stamps. At the end of the day, I end up with a pile of discarded snippets and scraps of ideas tried and not liked. So those scraps generally end up in the trash pile. Well, today in honor of Earth Day, I challenged myself to make a card using the scraps that were sitting in “to toss” pile. I found loads of colored up little die cuts, border trimmings and great leftover panels of paper large enough to make a beautiful mothers day card.

The Challenge…
Today, in honor of Earth Day, I challenge all you PPRS readers to do the same. Would you like for me to send you the stamp featured in this card,… Lolita? She is beautiful, vintage looking and I have found her to be very versatile. The challenge is simple, make a card using only scraps. Post to Mr. Linkey below by April 29. One random winner will be chosen to receive the stamp. And, while we would always LOVE to see PPRS product used, you are not limited to our stuff.

Your home sounds absolutely lovely – good for you for making all those great changes. I love the idea of the aquaponics garden! We have a vegetable garden and an orchard with fruit trees, and we're getting our first chickens this year. Anyway, thanks for the fun challenge. 🙂
