Ink Blending with Blending Solution: Happy Camper Bundle

Hello crafty friends it’s Rick back with today to share a fun card using the brand new Happy Camper Stamps and Dies Bundle that just released last week. And we are going to do a little ink blending with the Dye Ink Blending Solution as well. Here’s a look at my cute little card.

If you have not seen the Happy Camper Stamp Set and matching dies (which are only available in the Happy Camper Bundle)it’s over in the store. I have linked to it and the other products used in this blog post. So, let’s get into it.

Dye Ink Blending:

To start the card I did the background using dye inks to ink blend the background. But if you are like many you may have a hard time ink blending. Well, Joy the owner of Pajama Crafter Stamps has a fabulous product that she came up with that allows for effortless ink blending with dye inks. It’s the Dye Ink Blending Solution! And it’s a game changer for ink blending! It makes ink blending so easy I don’t know what this magic solution is but it helps your inks blend like butter. You do want to use a foam blending tool with the Dye Ink Blending Solution rather than a blending brush.

To use the solution you are going to take your dye ink and smoosh onto your glass mat or surface and add a little dot of the Dye Ink Blending Solution and pick up both on your foam blending tool and then start your blending process. With the addition of the Dye Ink Blending Solution the ink blends super easy. Keep your pressure light like normal but when you are blending the colors together the solution lets keeps the drying time slow so you are able to blend the two or more colors together with ease. That’s how I was able to get the dreamy background for my card today.

Once the ink blending had dried I splattered on some ink sprays to add a little texture to the background. I then finished off the card by stamping my sentiment. I also added the cute little bears from the stamp set to my card. All the stamped images you see on my card today are part of the Happy Camper Stamp Set. And are so easy to color. I did use the matching dies to cut out each image except the tent. There’s not a die to cut out the tent but it was super easy to fussy cut. I have a video tutorial to share with you today walking you through the process of how I made this card. Make sure to check it out below.

Thanks for dropping by today! I hope that you found some inspiration for your next project. Links in the blog post are affiliate links which means that I may make a small commission at no cost to you if you purchase using the links.
