Sophisticated Dinner Invitation

Thanksgiving Dinner Formal Invite

Tracy Vinson with Primitive Paper
Welcome to another tutorial from the Prickley Pear.  Today I am going to show you how to use some of our new fall stamps to create a most gorgeous dinner invitaion.  First of all, here are the two stamps I am using from the Prickley Pear.
I am using the GRAPE LEAF FLOURISH and the LEAF FLOURISH
We’re going to start by cutting a 5 x 7 piece of ivory card stock.
Next, I want you to take your brown COPIC marker and using a ruler, draw a small border around the edge of your paper…like I have done above.
Using your LEAF FLOURISH stamp and your Ranger Ink pad in “Old-Paper”, stamp the edges of your paper as I have done.  It is rather light but you are going to lay down some text over top of the pattern so it will be fine.

Take your GRAPE LEAF FLOURISH and using the “Tea-Dye” Ink, stamp just in your corners as I have done and let it over-lap the LEAF FLOURISH.

You are now ready to antique the edges of your paper just a bit.  I have used “Vintage Photo”.

Alright…I have computer generated my text and printed that right over top of what we just stamped.  I added a small piece of ribbon on the left margin as well.

Cut a sleeve out of coordinating DP that measures 5.25″ x 11.5″.  Fold as I have shown and secure in the back with a bit of adhesive.

That sleeve will slip up easily on your invitation, like so.

If you are happy with the fit of your sleeve, slide it back off and antique the edges just a bit then secure with a ribbon and bow.
And….the finished product.  I would love to hear if this tutorial was helpful to you.
