The star of this handmade card is the circular sentiment featuring the message, “A Big Heartfelt Thank You.” Instead of attaching it as a traditional stationary focal point, I turned it into an interactive spinner.

Behind the sentiment, a decorative circular die-cut adds texture and frames the interactive element beautifully. I softly blended coordinating Distress Oxide inks across the die-cut, transitioning from aqua and yellow to peach and pink. The gentle rainbow effect supports the colorful design without competing with the stamped images.
Copic-Colored Hippos Full of Personality
The darling hippos from the Hippo Hooray stamp set were colored with several different Copic marker combinations. Varying the shades gives each hippo an individual look while allowing them to remain part of one cohesive scene.
I added white gel pen highlights and softly blushed cheeks to bring even more expression and dimension to these charming characters. That balloon-bearing hippo looks ready to celebrate, while the relaxed hippo at the bottom is clearly enjoying the party from the best seat in the house!
The three hippos are arranged in a triangular formation around the spinning sentiment.
