I love pink! I am always designing in pink. Today I challenged myself to use a different color palette. Sherbert orange! I know… a huge jump. :O) But I love how this card turned out.
I feel like the doily (CLD), and scalloped circle stacker (CLD) mixed with our scalloped circle makes this look like a huge sunflower! With a sweet sentiment in the center.
Start with a card base of 4.5 by 5.5 when folded. Layer a white panel, 4.25 by 5.25 then a lighter orange panel 4 by 5″. On each side of the light orange panel, stamp Red Rubber Stamp (Flower Box, GG0048) with Versamark, dust with white embossing powder and heat emboss.
Cut one white doily CLD (DL239), one scallop CLD (XM Scalloped Circle – XM-5). Layer together.
Cut one PPRS Scallop Circle, D0013. Stamp “You make me smile” CC0070 with Verasa Mark, dust with white embossing powder and heat set.
Cut two wings and one bird body PPRS D003. Using the bird from clear set CLR003A, stamp body and wings. I colored the butterflies and flowers with a copic marker and added more color by using my distress inks and sponge applicators. Layer the wings as shown and adhere. Layer all elements together and adhere. This is such a fun happy little card! Be sure to like us on Facebook!

Such beautiful cards!!
The orange sherbet card is darling. Guess what? I thought it was sherbert too. That's what my parents called it. I have been saying it wrong all these years (and that's a lot of years.) LOL. Who would have thought that this lovely card would prompt a grammar lesson.
The other cards are lovely too but I will go to their blogs to comment.
Your orange card is so

adds to it.

Beautiful layering on your card! Love the stacked doilies…. gorgeous! Darling bird too… love the separate wings!
LOL, I see the difference. Are you from the east coast? I am, and my mother always pronounced it sherbert as well, guess that's where I get it from! Thanks for the post. Nicole
