Hope you all enjoyed yesterdays posts. I know that there were lots of fabulous cards posted by our group and the fabulous folks over at Cheery Lynn Designs (CLD)! We have more wonderful cards to share with you today.
Our Dies and Stamps are just too much fun to work with. And when you couple them with the dies from CLD the results can be amazing. Their dies really do complement ours incredibly well.
Here is my second card for the week – Birthday Wishes.
Card base measures at 6.25″ wide by 4.75″ tall when folded. Plum panel measures at 6 by 4.5″ and the cream panel at 5.75 by 4.25″.
We came out with a second set of mini butterflies this year. On it there is a little cluster of vines and flowers (Mini Butterflies 2, CLR023A) I used this cluster to create the background. I stamped on a panel 5.5″ by 3″ multiple times. Then colored the flowers with different shades of pink copic markers. Next, I pulled out my distress ink pads (victorian velvet) and sponge applicator and rubbed in color. I did not rub it in too evenly, this gives the paper a modeled effect. I finished with pearls.
I then cut two CLD (B160) Queen Anne’s Lace border dies from cream card stock. I distressed the edges. I then adhered them to the back of the flower panel as shown.
I then cut 1(CLD) Polynesian Sails Oval – DL153 and used the interior die only, from pink card stock. I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress ink. I then cut and stamped 1 PPRS Birdcage Die (D006). Next I pulled out my mini birds die and stamp set, (D026 & CLR026). I first cut our the body and two wings. I then stamped (we ALWAYs recommend that you cut first then stamp when using our stamps and dies). I chalked the body and wings with pebbles chalks. I then cut two butterflies, stamped and colored, (D023 & CLR023A). Next I cut 4 mini flowers and stamped, colored then layered, (D012 & CLR012A). I then placed pearls into the centers. Next, cut two CLD (B117) Fanciful Flourish from cream card stock. Layer all as shown.
I hand cut a tag for the Birthday Wishes (CLR023A).
Hope you enjoy this card! We hope it inspires you make a card this weekend!
