Hi All!
Happy Friday. The weather is warming up here in Phoenix AZ. We have a fun little spring card to share before we turn to summer related ideas!
I was feeling like flowers and birds with birdhouses so I sat down at my craft table and this is what I came up with. Hope you all enjoy!
Spring Bird House
1. Cut blue panel at 5.5 by 8.5” for card base. Fold in half. Cut DP at 5.25 by 4”. Center on-top of card base. Cut another panel (ledger paper) at 4 by 1.5”.
2. Using Mini Hibiscus (D030) and Hibiscus Leaf (D002) cut 5 hibiscus and 4 leaves from white card stock. Cut one scalloped oval from blue card stock (D027).
3. Using sponge applicator, swipe color onto the flowers and leaves using distress inks. For the flowers I used Wild Honey and Squeezed Lemonade. For the leaves I used Stormy Sky and Forest Moss.
4. Stamp into the colored pieces with coordinating clear stamp set, (CLR002A Hibiscus). I chose the polka dotted leaf and flower from the set. I used Victorian Velvet Distress ink to stamp into the die cut flowers.
5. Next I stamped the Bird with Birdhouse (F0095) using black Versafine ink. I pulled out my prisma color pencils and colored. I then fussy cut the finished image. I then arranged all as shown, adhered and stamped the phrase “Hope your day is fabulous” from clear stamp set (CLR031). I layered the birdhouse to the oval using pop dots. I finished the flowers with self adhesive gems.
