Hello to all of my friends in “blogville”. I hope your week is a grand one. Today, I am going to show you how to use our cool Hibiscus Die to make some gorgeous flowers for all of your paper crafting needs. Stay with me and I will show you step-by-step what you need.
First, get your Hibiscus die ready and whatever system you use for your die cutting. I use the Cuttlebug.
Next, you are going to need a stack of coffee filters. You can use the white or the natural…which ever you prefer.
The coffee filters are so thin, you can cut up to six layers at once. Just discard the leaf that cuts from the die…you wont need that for this project.
You will need twelve flowers to achieve the fullness that I am going to show you today.
Next, stack all of the layers up and don’t try and match them up…let them be a bit un-even. 
Punch a small hole in the center and secure with a brad.
I wrinkle mine up a bit to give my petals some shape and definition…basically…I wad it up in a ball and then start opening it back up.
And now…the finished product.
For a touch of color on your flowers simply apply a bit of ink and then spray with a small amount of water. Once your flower is dry, you can crumple and shape as you want.
Why not make up a few and keep on hand. You only have pennies in your filters. Also, try using printed tissue paper, printed paper napkins, and brown paper bags….these items make lovely flowers.
And now for the finished product…a mini scrapbook page embellished with our beautiful paper flowers.
