Well here we go with my first ever blog post. Nicole has shown me what to do and now it is time for me to step out on my own. It may have taken a lot of convincing but I am ready to enter the world of blogging. I will be posting on Monday’s, thus the name Monday’s with Mary, and providing simple tips, techniques, or cards for your viewing pleasure.

I have had many people tell me that they have a hard time figuring what colors to use. My big secret is that when I need some inspiration I look to all the colors and patterns around me. Shop in the scrapbook store and when you find a patterned paper that you really like bring it home and use the colors and pattern to create a card. I have used ribbon, yarn and pictures for my color palette’s.
